Ssk Mobile Storage Solution Drivers For Mac
I recently bought the following, for fast external storage for my Mac:
* Samsung 970 EVO M.2(2280) SSD (500GB)
* Century Katana M.2 SSD USB3.1 Type-C enclosure

After fitting the SSD in the enclosure & attaching via my Mac's USB 3 port, the SSD is not detected, either in the Finder, Disk Utility or System Information. However, the enclosure's VLI USB 3 chipset does appear in the USB 3 section of System Information.
How can I get my Mac to recognize the SSD, so that I can format it?
I have the exact same result when I attached the SSD to a Windows 10 laptop; it recognized the VLI chipset of he enclosure, but didn't detect the SSD.
Also, the SSD is compatible with the enclosure's M.2 interface (it is 2280, with M key).
So it looks like some issue with the SSD itself, or with the M.2 interface connection. When I connected the SSD to the enclosure's M.2 interface (at a 30 deg angle), it was a tight fit & required some wiggling, but eventually was a snug fit.
Wnat should I do? Any ideas?
